Beetham Tower

Whichever direction you travel into Manchester from, the Beetham Tower will be one of the first buildings you see. At an imposing 168 metres, the tallest skyscraper in Manchester is visible from 10 English counties on a clear day.

Designed by architect Ian Simpson and located on a narrow plot of land at the top of Deansgate, the Beetham Tower is made up of 48 floors, of which the first 22 are occupied by the Hilton Hotel. Level 23 is home to the renowned Cloud 23 Bar, which offers a 360 degree panoramic view across Manchester and beyond, while sipping on some of the best cocktails the city has to offer. There is also a health suite within the building offering gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and heated swimming pool. Residents can benefit from discounted membership fees, spa treatments and personal training sessions.

Floors 25 to 47 are solely residential and offer a range of 1 and 2 bed apartments as well as two penthouse suites, one of which is owned by Ian Simpson himself.

At 301 Deansgate, and next to the Great Northern Warehouse, the Beetham Tower is close to numerous transport links, including the Metrolink, Deansgate train station and several key roads going in to the city including the Mancunian Way and Chester Road.

Did you know…the Beetham Tower is quite the celebrity…having featured in numerous television programmes Vertical City (2007) for More 4, Britain From Above for BBC One (2008) and Time Travel (2010) for the National Geographic Channel. It is also depicted in the opening titles of numerous television programmes - including The Street, Coronation Street, Scott and Bailey and the Manchester sequence of ITV Sport's England football coverage.

Manchester is one of the nation’s most vibrant cities, and the Beetham Tower is an integral piece within the city’s jigsaw.

Whether its sport – with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Sale Sharks and Lancashire County Cricket Club, or leisure – with Spinningfields, Exchange Square and the eclectic Northern Quarter, Manchester has something for everyone. And that’s not to mention the plethora of award-winning bars and restaurants dotted around the city, including the likes of Australasia, The Alchemist, Grill on the Alley, The French and Jamie Oliver’s Italian.

Culture plays a big part in the city, with a number of museums and galleries located in and around the centre, while the likes of the Royal Exchange, the Palace and the Opera House offer everything from plays to musicals and comedy. It would be remiss not to mention Manchester’s music scene, for which the city has become renowned. Home to bands over the decades such as Joy Division, the Stone Roses, and Happy Mondays, with the likes of Oasis, the Doves and Elbow in more recent years and currently The Courteeners and Everything Everything, Manchester has proved a breeding ground for musical success which looks set to long continue.

Whatever takes your fancy, Manchester is guaranteed to have it in spades.
